When did you start your business & what made you decide this career? My parents have always been in the real estate business but choosing this career took me a few years. Just like every child I was determined not be like my parents. After college I worked in the corporate world for about 3 years, but my heart knew I needed to be in Real Estate. In 2014 I jumped feet first and became a full time REALTOR in the SBC area and quickly found my passion was helping clients achieve their goals by building wealth in real estate. In 2020, I took another leap of faith and opened my own Property Management company. This gives me the opportunity to better service my clients, while allowing them a chance to grow wealth in real estate.
What is the biggest challenge of being a military spouse & pursuing your career? The biggest challenge in Property Management is making connections with local vendors. The Real Estate and Property Management world is about building trusting relationships with the local community and being an outsider it takes time to build.
What are some benefits of being a military spouse as a business owner? The best part of my job as a military spouse, I feel, is being able to help fellow military families coming to an unfamiliar place find somewhere that feels like home.
What are your Hobbies? Running, baking and traveling.
If you could, what advice would you give yourself when you first started your business? Just breath… Everything works out and goals aren’t always met the next day. So, enjoy the journey, learn from the mistakes and always make sure to have a good laugh.
